Gregor Riddell is a cellist, composer and curator active in a diverse range of musical projects. He has performed at major European concert halls in ensembles including the Solstice String Quartet, Living Room in London and Odysseus Piano Trio. Recent commissions include the London Contemporary Orchestra, a double cello concerto premiered in La Paz (Bolivia) and a work for Asamisimasa Ensemble premiered at Borealis Festival (Norway). In 2012 Gregor attended a Banff Creative Residency where he met Adam Teixeira and developed BirdWorld; here he also met violinist Mira Benjamin with whom he works alongside in nu:nord. Gregor is currently a resident artist at the Union Chapel and has hosted artists including Mercury Quartet, London Contemporary Orchestra Soloists, Elliot Galvin Trio, Shiva Feshareki, Kit Downes and The Association Eubage. Since moving to Oslo in winter 2014, Gregor has become a member of nordic composers collective NMK and collaborated with artists including Streifenjunko, Vilde & Inga, Darkling and Rydin.
